My approach to such things involves either a hammer, pliers, or scissors, depending on the type of puzzle.
Seriously. These things are not for me. I can spend hours and hours and days debugging a truly complex problem and I like it. But these things get on my nerves after less than a minute.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Well now i know what to get you for your birthday and Christmas!
They only take a little patience and skill...
This might also explain why you are having issues in your martial arts classes.
but if the only tool you know how to use is a hammer you will always think of problems as nails, or for you screws.Be just and fear not.

i love these types of puzzles! very neat. the only thing that is disappointing about figuring one out is that the challenge is permanently over. you can't mix it up and try to figure it out again. very cool though.

The spiral is easy if you know the trick but the equa isnt all that easy.. I managed to assemble and disassemble it once but now still puzzling on how I did that..
The good thing about the cast iron puzzles is that they wont break if you use a hammer or screwdriver. The bad thing is that it will not fix the puzzle either...

Thanked: 0I've got Radix and NEWS, and they're real brain teasers (I'm almost a bit ashamed to confess I had more problems solving the Radix then the NEWS one, though...)
Malngstr I was already thinking to buy the equa, you triggered my curiosity even more, so my mantra for today will be : "you need to buy a strop, don't waste money in puzzles!you need to buy a strop, don't waste money in puzzles!you need to buy a strop, don't waste money in puzzles!"

The cast rings is an easy one. The problem with me is I will stick with it untill I figure it out . if it means me staying up all night and taking the next day off work. Someone recently gave a 2,000 piece jigsaw puzzle, I stayed in all weekend because I wanted to see it finished, never got dressed, I had chineese food delivered and finished the puzzle 11:00 Sunday night, then had to work the next morning. What a waste of a weekend , lol
