Homeplace Restaurant
About 45 minutes from me in Catawba, Virginia, there is a restaurant called "The Homeplace". Its a down home country cooking establishment that is well known in the area. Its always crowded and you usually have to wait but it is absolutely worth it. This is why:
Pictured: Fried Chicken, Roast beef, pulled pork BBQ, mashed taters and gravy, buttermilk biscuits, Green Beans, Ice Tea, and Lemonade; which I use to make an Arnold Palmer.
Not Pictured: Pinto beans, cinnamon apples, cole slaw, apple-butter, peach cobbler w/ ice cream, and coffee. (last 2 are for desert) They also have other drinks from the Coca Cola Company.
And ALL of which is on an unlimited basis , is extremely tasty, and is only 14 dollars ($16-$17 with tip). The only problem with this restaurant is people fighting for the biscuits and you always eat too much, leaving the 45 minute car ride to be a real PITA. If anyone comes through southwest Virginia, you should definitely stop by.
Anyone else have a place like this around them???
