Vesper Martini
"Just a moment. Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?" - James Bond "Casino Royale" 1953
The Vesper (named after Vesper Lynd) is well known, particularly among Bond fans. Anyone had one? Anyone had one made with the now discontinued formulation of Kina Lillet? The drink had a prominent role in the 2006 movie as well as Quantum of Solace.

It's fine as long as you drink it before the bruising develops & it turns purple.
Is it possible to bruise a liquid? Not heard of that.

Can you call a drink a Martini if there is no vermouth? Oh well...
I once had a "Vodka Martini, shaken, not stirred... for a man who is not James Bond" and quite enjoyed it. But I really preffer a nice malt wiskey, myself...

Well...looks like I'm going to have to assemble the materials, make one and drink it myself. You guys are no help. My work is never done!
