    Default Olde Cartoons

I just got a passel of them at a garage sale - Mighty Mouse, Little Lulu and etc. Just a bunch of stuff from the 1930's-50's.

Little Lulu - jumping cats! We were a barbaric culture! This golfer keep threatening the little girl with a golf club. Of course she gets the better of him, but jeeze!

I won't even go into the transvestite wolves in the Mighty Mouse cartoon. (And no comment on "Mighty Mouse, defender of Sheep and Men"!)

I do like the numerous scorings by Bing Crosby and others. Or reasonable facsimilies thereof.

My son and I love the old Pre-television Bugs Bunny et al. Just hilarious stuff. It's fun to see your seven year old in stiches over cartoons you remember from when you were a kid.

When the cartoons were produced for mixed audiences (as in "adults and children") they were written a hell of a lot better than the stuff produced for saturday morning cartoons.

    That was awesome

Any one else remember Bugs Bunny being totally racist, I grew up watching Looney Tunes and had no idea until I watched a video at my friends house.

Yeah. The war years were interesting. Funny how nationalism went then. The exagerated features of the "other" and all that.
