Acetone is not a good thing to inhale. The odds of your getting all the acetone out before you use it again are pretty close to 0.

Vodka and everclear also work well and are less likely to cause problems.

I also smoke a Petersen, with a crook stem, with borkum riff cherry cavendish. This often get comment, as the aroma is very pleasant and I don't generally get hunted out of the house !!

    Cheers gentlemen

Mmmmmmm the borkum riff cherry cavendish, my number one all time favorite smoke. Pipe cleaning, try dipping the pipe cleaner in some dark rum (I use bundy OP)I also give the inside of the bowl a light wipe with a cotton bud dipped in the rum. Cleans and sweeten,s.

As for the Falcon go for it.
A crook stem Falcon was my first pipe at eighteen, the alloy stem is alot less likely to break to, if you drop it or put it in your pocket and sit on it. Good value for money. 33 years later I still light her up at least once a week! from Steve.

Thanks mate for the comment re acetone, I will try the vodka. In answere to pipes heating up, I find most do, the Falcon perhaps a little quicker because of the aluminium pipe body.
