I'm sure you could rig something up with rubber bands and duct tape to keep you from jutting your jaw out.
Seriously though, maybe take another look at how you hold your pipe in your mouth or try holding it in your hand more. Mabye try a different bend/shape/style or a lighter pipe.

1. don't clamp down on the pipe so hard
2. try a bent pipe, they put less torque on the mouthpiece so you don't have to try to hold them up so much

A friend of mine is a dentist. He once asked me if my bite had always been like it is now with my bottom teeth ahead of the front. I told him that I didn't realize that it was ..... and I didn't. I couldn't account for it until later when I was smoking my straight pipe in my usual hands free fashion. Then I realized that thirty years of pipe smoking most of the time supporting the weight of the pipe with the lower jaw had done it. BTW, I've had periods where my jaw ached. The solution is to support the pipe with one hand and not to be a stem biter.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I had problems with that when I first started smoking pipes, cause I needed my hands. I switched to either sitters, full bent or keep a rest around to place a pipe on. I never just hold one in my teeth any more (haven't smoked one in a while actually, but in practice). a good full bent that isn't too big will put the stem against my chin and that takes a lot of the weight off. I had two full bent savinellis, gave one to a friend a few months back to get him into pipes.
Here is one I'd really like to have right now:

If you don,t mind a shorter smoke (15-20 mins) try a small light pipe. These are generally only 4" to 4 1/4" long, so as Jockey says excerts less torque on the mouthpiece.
Had a bit of an accident with a petrol tanker when I was a lad , lost all my front teeth, never got bottom dentures so I,ve allways held a pipe when I smoke. Has the added bonus that between puffs it looks like your contemplating the meaning off life the universe and beyond!

like the day after i posted this i started kinda dislocating my jaw, its always clicked, but now it acually kinda comes out of place and i can feel it up in side my head.
i figured out its not from me holding the pipe up, but rather when i suck, my jaw wants to come out. so ive been really focusing on not making the deep in thought face while smoking, seems to be getting better. havent had it hang and really hurt for a day or 2 now
