Thanked: 0I drank Mate quite a bit up until several years ago. I got freaked out by all the studies linking Mate to cancers. After doing more research it seems like the correlation is between cancer and drinking the brew very hot, smoking tobacco, and alcohol consumption. So, I do drink alcohol, I don't smoke, and I don't like piping hot drink. I have another bag of Mate and bombillas on the way. I ordered some gourds as well. I'd like to see photos of the crystal Mates.
I ordered my stuff from Eco Teas.

Just found the thread and i have been drinking Mate for 15 years, now. This is my favourite as it is shade grown and smoked-dried.
Guayaki Organic Yerba Mate
Fantastic tea and much different taste than the sun-grown variety.
Enjoy the great drink, everyone.
