Mac user here! PC at work and since I've gotten my Mac, I loathe using the PC, not nearly as user friendly IMHO.

i love the mac for the user friendliness but also the functionality of it thru terminal, you can do so much with it thru that.
i have now rid myself of everything microsoft
    even word
i use pages, which you can save in normal pages format, or can export to .doc or .pdf
i recommend it to anybody tired of microsot

My laptop is a Mac and used exclusively for the internet and entertainment. My desktop is running XP. I like both and am indifferent except for when it comes to gaming and being productive, in which case I'll stick with Windows. I used to use the 20" iMacs at work exclusively and they were nice, but I had to replace the keyboard and the click brick with a regular keyboard and mouse to keep my sanity.

They're great machines, but the sad truth is that everything runs on windows. If someone fixes that and stops me from having to buy half a dozen macs that are only suited to one specific task...I'll gladly stop feeding the evil empire that is Microsoft.

No Mac here. At work we use XP, because we work with a lot of 3D design software (Not graphic design, it's Engineering design), and other Softwares, which are only running under Windows. Recently back home i started to use Linux, because i'm a bit tired of Win. I'd like to try a Mac, but here in Hungary they have a really high price... (about 2-3 times higher, than PC)

I'm not quite sure what you mean here? Suited to specific tasks? eh?

I think you could probably buy a Mac tomorrow and be very happy with it.

I use an iMac, had it for about 18 months and am yet to put Windoze on it, even though I thought I would initially, there has not yet been anything I've so desperately needed that I have been bothered to run crossover or parallels or something.

Any one looking to buy one, get apple care. My iMacs hdd buggered up a week or so ago, they picked it up friday and I had it back on monday with a new hdd. Unfortunately, I lost everything, but that's life and I should have backed it up.
