Bluetooth Headsets
Has anyone tried either a Jawbone Prime, the Motorola Endeavor HX1 or the Bluetooth Etymotic headset? I have several headsets including the first and second Gen Jawbones which work reasonably well but I'm always looking for something better.
p.s. I already know that you look like a dork wearing one, so.....Last edited by Bill S; 07-06-2009 at 07:11 PM.

Thanked: 278I was thinking of buying a Jawbone 2 but I was put off by the way it made the speaker sound slightly robotic. Also the online demos were rigged a bit (e.g. the one with the girl near the construction workers - she turned the noise cancelling on as she walked away from the noisy machinery.)
I eventually bought a TheBoom mic as the noise cancelling was simply better. It's wired though (I wanted it for PC use more than for the mobile, so that was fine.)
There are some audio tests here. Includes the EtyBlu and old Jawbone tests, shame it isn't more up to date, but it might be of interest.

I agree about the Boom. In terms of noise cancelation and sound quality ( both in and out) it is a step up from the Bluetooth units that I have tried. The Jawbone 2 is pretty good but still represents a fairly significant deterioration sonically (as you pointed out).
Thanks.
