vacation at the beach... Finer thing?
Well I am at myrtle beach with my wife and daughter. I don't really care for the beach but love the wife and daughter. Back many years ago during high school my family came to this beach and I swore I would not be back however I love my wife and daughter. They wanted to come to the beach.
The finer part of this story is I spent the day with Liv, my daughter in the pool helping her with her swiming. She is five. I have some killer photos of us on the beach. I had Krispy Kreme doughnuts fresh outa the frier this morning. I ate a steak this evening that was to die for. and I am now on the balcony looking at the Atlantic while enjoying a Romeo Y Julieta cigar realizing it is not the place but the people and memories.
I still have a sunburn and have the build of Moto Moto from Madagascar 2 (if you have kids you have seen this). I dont look buff on the beach but do have a good shave thanks to my Friodur no stain, TM practice strop, small tube of CO Bigalow and travel brush.
Enough rambleing

Sounds good to me! I'm not a big beach fan either. On my own I would probably never go, but with the family it's great. Add great food and a fine cigar...what's not to like?

Thanked: 293LOVE the beach. Get a little cooked by the sun all day, cool off in the ocean (salt water works wonders on the skin). Throw some horse shoes, have a beer, smoke a cigar.
Then, go back to the house, have a shower and a great shave (shaves after a day at the beach seem better for some reason -- maybe the salt water?). Get dinner, open a bottle of wine, scotch and another cigar.
Does it get better than this?

Thanked: 586I like the beach in the winter. In the summer there is too much sun and hot. I have a thing about swimming in salt water so I can't cool off. Then I have a problem with hot chicks in bikinis. I tend to stare and think the most amazingly dirty thoughts. In fact I am sure I can probably be arrested in 24 states for the things that run through my head on a sunny day at the beach.
Do you surf?

Thanked: 293Brad, that's the beauty of it. We can think it and not do it. And then go back with our SO's and re-enact the thoughts (and when that happens we don't get arrested).
I don't surf and I figure I'm probably a little old to get started now. I was a competitive swimmer so I get around in the ocean.
