At the moment I am smoking S. Gawith Full Virginia Flake in an old Ashton 3X poker. Count me in too.

Ogle, if you want to get started I would recommend buying a corn cob pipe. No joke. They are very reasonably priced and they smoke just fine. If I were you I would stay away from aromatic blends as they tend to smoke wet. A good burley or Virginia/burley combo is nice IME. There is a learning curve to pipe smoking just as there is to shaving with straights but it is also worth it if you tough it out. Watch out for tongue bite. Gentle puffs and a correctly packed pipe will prevent that.

The original and the one I am familiar with is here. When I was a young ironworker and a new pipe smoker I smoked a many of them.

    Cool... the price is right.

Kinda Popeye-esque. If anything else comes to mind let me know. Otherwise, I'll give it a shot and just squint with one eye.

If you burn yourself stick it in olive oil and don't forget to eat your spinach.

I enjoy a nice pipe here and there; I'd be in too.

I certainly love pipes. I'd be in as well. At the moment I'm smoking my favorite Seattle Pipe Club tobacco: Plum Pudding. (This is strictly an English blend--no casing at all. It gets its name from the supposed taste of Latakia, according to the British, anyway).
