My girlfriend and I are on a two week road trip, we left our home in Austin TX yesterday morning around 10 AM and arrived in New Orleans around 5:30. This is my first time in the big easy and we have been enjoying every minute. We are staying at the Hotel Provencal in the French Quarter. Last night we ate at the Gumbo Shop and then hit Bourbon St. for a little fun. We started this morning at Cafe Du Monde then walked and shopped up until now. Tonight we are going to head down to Frenchman St. for dinner, live jazz, and drinks. Tomorrow morning we are taking a tour of the St. Louis Cemetery and maybe hit a couple more shops. After that we will hit the road bound for Panama City Beach FL. I will post updates along the way and when we get home, I'll put up some choice pictures!
