Now I understand the sightings of Bigfoot ......... :)
We have the moss man here in Ohio. Known to inhabit the area of Salt Fork Reservoir.
" No Joke" !! Punch it up on the web.
I'm still laughing about it.!!
Wait.......are YOU the moss man Mike?
I hadn't bought a new rifle in 30 years. It was all new to me too, but I did what I do. Researched the hell outta everything, separated out the fanboi noise, kept my list of objectives tight and bought tier 1 stuff so it would retain most of it's value should I expire anytime soon. All in with stamps, optics, sales taxes, cases, cleaning kits, everything.. 6K.
Not cheap but I can make a good Braun electric last 8 years for $160 and make my own cleaning solution, but I'm not going to do that anymore either. The bucket list is gettin checked these days. ;)
It's cool! If I had ANY practical use for such a thing... but who knows? NEVER hurts to know that such awesome guidance is avaiilable. I dozed an area of my yard and threw down a bunch of grass seed. I coulda walked up and put a COLLAR on those turkeys! They love grass seed! Go figure! So... maybe fall. ;)
For those who like the 10/22.

My two new magazines. The slim one is the aa922 25 round. I believe they do a 10 round as well.
The other is the same magazine in a sleeve. The sleeve is to fit in with the archangel nomad stock. I removed the unboxed one from the sleeve.
I chose these magazines for 2 reasons.
The first.

That little spring stops the round going nose up, helping prevent feed issues, and the stock magazines I was using had plenty of issues.
Second, when I have my FAC I intend on getting a 10/22 and I would like to fit the muzzelite bulpup stock. These are one of the few extended magazines that actually fit it well.

WOW!! That is one WELL SHOT 10/22. I've always used the stock 10 round. JUST finally bought a couple 25's.
You must have 10's of thousands of rounds through those feed lips. Mine still looks new-ish, and I KNOW it has at least a few thousand.
Well done. When I see a motorcycle or gun or whatever, well used like that, it tells me a lot. You've had some FUN.
LOVE the 10/22. Was just talking about that with a friend. It's the ruger laminated stock with a $30 3x Simmons scope, and it has by far got more trigger love to date than any other rifle I have.
It is a Wood Chuck, Racoon, Possum & Skunk eating MACHINE. :) Once they find the cat door into the garage, they gotta go.
That .300 will end them pretty much painlessly though. My 10/22 may get some rest.
Some say the 10/22 multiplies in a dark safe. I've stayed monogamous, but I understand why some would want more.
Yeah, please weigh back in on those. I had to go check, the ones I bought are the OEM Ruger BX-25's, and I'll pull no punches. They suck. I've never had a failure to feed from the stock 10 round, but those 25's aren't seating properly or something, because unless I've grabbed the same one, both have been problematic.
When it comes to firearms, sometimes never works.
Well ill be using this one for a while till I decide how they work out. So I'll try to come back after I've put a few hundred through it and let you know.
They do have nylon feedlips which I'm not ecstatic about, however the my are easily replaceable. I've had a hunt around for metal ones but to no avail yet.

On those BTF tax stamps, I heard that if a person buys a full auto, a silencer, or whatever requires one of those stamps, part of the deal is that BTF can come to your house at any time and search without a warrant. Is that accurate ? Do you give up your 4th amendment rights ?
Seems all rights are null and void once you try to screw the Tax man. I find it rather confusing that federal law overrides state law and vice versa. How many amendments seem to have a different interpretation at the state level. My fear is that one day the second amendment will be deemed only valid for the firearm technology at the time the amendment was written. So yes you can buy and carry a musket or a flintlock pistol.
I'm not a lawyer, but my firearm was purchased through the use of an NFA trust, of which all of my kids are members. Several addresses, and only the main trustee's need to be listed. The rifle could be at any one of the members residences, or anywhere else. I think that would preclude searching without warrant, as there is no compelling reason to believe that the rifle is at any particular address, or anywhere else at any given time.
According to this trusted source, very false.

Actually, there was already GI firearms that could fire full auto, 30 rounds at a time. Not worried.

The problem is, like everything else the govt does, just because the letter of the law says "its not true" the reality is, the govt only needs an excuse. Come to your house for an illegal inspection... "Thought I heard somebody calling for help so I entered the premises" Dont let them in and tell them to come back with a warrent? "Acting suspicious and furtive" I dont have the money to involve myself with any of the aforementioned items, but I would never keep crates of ammo in the same building my license was for, lest they one day make the claim "This much ammo would only be possessed by a terrorist or some other bullshit.
And to keep things on track.... Antique Remington Speedmaster .22 Short Take Down Gallery rifle from my dads place in Coney Island. (closed up in '84 I think)
Needs a restore after an unknown roof leak soaked the cabinet. Probably has a 1/4 million rounds through it! STILL works without failures Attachment 257722
Hahaha.... I'll just quote a great man who once said "We built it, we paid for it, it's ours and we are going to keep it.” That's the current plan anyway.

Was out for a clay shooting lesson today. Was damned good fun.
Used am over under and shot clays from differing positions and launch heights.
Wanted to try it out becore putting in my FAC application. I think I'm going to go for a shotgun certificate too. 😝

Latest acquisition - 12 Gauge Coach Gun - exposed hammers. I love the old classic guns like this or the lever action rifles.

Cincinnatus that is a great looking classic.
This works in every handgun I put it in...I HIGHLY recommend it.

I'll have to read through this site later, thanks for the link.
I use Hornady critical defense in a Kahr P-380, and in G-43 with no problems. Blunt bull nose projectiles sometimes fail to feed in the Kahr. Speer Gold Dots are also good. I'd call glock and send it back in. Get them to send a mailing label. Needs to have the feed ramp polished maybe. :gl:

Here's another gun from my friends collection....

Dang you're friend has quite the collection.
Some fine looking guns here, I tweaked my PCP .177 BSA R-10 SE super carbine over the last few weeks I fitted a new Huma regulator slightly lightened the two stage trigger and just replaced the original shroud & silencer with a vented carbon fibre shroud & silencer, I'll put up a few photo's over the coming week, It's a very accurate piece of kit I zeroed the rifle in yesterday at 30 yards here's the results from a 10 shot grouping less than a half inch between the full 10 shot magazine.
Attachment 258743
Here's the rifle fitted with the new custom carbon fibre shroud and silencer, I will have to get a small shim fitted as the scope is just touching the new shroud not a problem I'll sort it out in the week, doesn't effect the shooting but I like things to be just right so it's got to be sorted.
