Great shooting! Great group.
Attachment 267420
Got in on the tail end of the S&W $75.00 rebate. Picked up a .45 Shield to keep the 9MM company. S&W has another special going on right now, but for the nonce I'm not in the market for any additional firearms.
Police inspection in the next couple of days.... Celticcrusader, any hints or tips?

Just be yourself think about what you going to say don't ramble on like we sometimes do, If you have any questions for the FEO then make sure to ask be confident and try and show a good knowledge of the gun laws and ammo and quarrie you are going to shoot, they will pretty much know everything about you when the visit comes that will included looking through all your medical history plus they would have more than likely made contact with one or maybe two of your referees, if your Gun cabinet and application is OK plus your medical and crimminal record is OK then I can't see there being much of problem good luck.
Cheers mate.
I only shoot target with .22lr, and occasional clays, so that's fairly straight forward.
I'm fairly confident all will be ok 😉 I have had a chat with a few folk I know and I think I can safely say my cabinet placement should cause no concerns, it's well concealed.
Although I have just found my club has been approved for full bore and muzzle loading... So maybe a variation next year.

I actually prefer the "non-thumb safety" version, but the price difference between the two was pretty hefty. Can't exactly figure that one out
So the man came. Seemed pleased enought with my security.
He phoned all my referees and club.....
Just waiting for decision now.

It be easier to ask...who doesn't. Hehe[emoji38]
Why, ain't it short enough.
You'll fill your ear with brass.[emoji4]
Thing about the 10/22. You can do a ridiculous array of modifications to them.
Heavy barrel? Magazines galore, Want it to look like an AR? A .30 carbine? An AK?
Laminated stocks, thumbholes, pink, camo, you name it. A friend has a crank that goes on the trigger. Really lays it down! :rofl2:
I think this has kept the price of them up. Hell, It's a cheap .22!
I have never bought one as the price seems double to me. People buy them to mod them.
I have a Nylon 66 and a pump Winchester anyway. Interestingly, a little Mossberg Plinkster came my way recently. Great little thing for really cheap.
They should start selling stuff for those. Would be a great accessory mule as well, IMO.
Last Easter I bought one for my son, I believe that was $185. It's a great little rifle. Tons of fun to shoot.
Yes it would be easer to ask who doesn't in the USA or if not you did at one time. One of the best all around 22 ever built. And the mist owned? The Marlin/glen field semi auto with the leaves carved in the hand grip Tc
Tom the Remington nylon isa great throw behind the seat of your truck and abuse it to all heck and still shoot.. Tc
Attachment 270974took the wife out shooting today...been almost a year since her last visit to the Range...not too shabby @ 50 yards...CZ455 .17 HMR

My 10/22 is the heavy barreled one that I have sunk a bit of coin into. Sent the barrel off for a "tri-lux" treatment at some barrel place a long time ago. They stress releave it by three processes, one was heat, one was cold, and I don't remember the third. The trigger was replaced with a volquerson and it wasn't where I wanted it, so I polished it out. My old Vietnam sniper buddy got me into a little group of guys when I lived in K.C. and we shot groups at 100 yards...normally betting on each set of groups. That's what got me into match shooting and long range. He knew what he was doing...
After a few hours target practice today the weather was so nice I couldn't resist taking a few photo's, this rifle is a joy to use great grouping putting CCi subsonic 40gr hollow points through the rifle, I'm so pleased I went with my gut insticts when I purchased the rifle it felt so right when shouldered a great rifle and I can only say positive things about the trigger and I love the straight pull action, I can fully understand how many would find the trigger a little heavy but personally I find the trigger breaks so crisp and clean I can overlook the pull.
Been shooting twice in the past 2 weeks! Been up here at new job for 2 years and haven't been REALLY shooting other than at work. It took setting up the reloading bench all over again and getting everything all dialed in and going.
It's nice to be back.
Nice .22 rifle also!
Hooboy! Death to squirrels around here! I have the buggers all the time, but if you cannot go out and count less than 5 or six? Time to thin the herd.
A rig like Jamie's would be nice. For now it's a Gamo .177 and iron sights.
The old eyes and all.....
Update... FAC is at the last stage of approval. So here's hoping...
