There is a fine line between Gun Talk and Gun Control Talk

Wow! Really? I'm not arguing or even disagreeing. I just mean I didn't really think that fit the gun control criteria. I understand though. There is no winning that debate and really quick it is no longer a debate.
Begging your pardons. Didn't mean to stir the pot. I thought it seemed pretty inocuous but then I guess everyone does.
It did come and go.
The reluctance of most here to fuel a fire that is 'controversial' to the admins is seemingly not good enough.
Making a statement or asking a question which has not been responded to is a much preferable way to avoid this malady.
Change the subject and move on? Things don't have to quite run off the rails usually as they straighten out by themselves most all the time. Then, it's all good.
But we must punish and censure....
We have policed ourselves most proficiently since the 'episode' and have learned a great deal.
Cannot say I have missed the old iron fist of bygone days. I suppose it must be used on occasion.
But un-subscription is the prescription. It has been a fun thread.:D
Gun guys....Gee
People just need to get thicker skin!
Atta Boy John!!

What you all have to ask yourselves is what is the purpose of this forum?
So, let's be clear here. It's a place for gun enthusiasts to talk about guns, specifically; their personal collections, use, maintenance, future acquisitions, hunting, ammo, reloading and related topics.
It is not a place to talk politics or or make any moral statements that could start an anti vs pro debate. We all know where that goes.
Of course it's possible anyone coming across this forum could decide you all be a bunch of gun nuts and and go off on this but that's why we are here and posts like that would be removed.
Just think before you post and use common sense.
Carry on shooters.
How about more promotion of 1911 guns at this juncture. Gotta be folks here who admire the genius of John M. Browning.
This one is an immediate post war Colt Government Model .45 from 1947. It's not a rebuffed refinish. The Rampant Colt on the slide is just weak. Seemed to almost be a theme of the production the first couple years after 1945.

Big fan of the 1911
First one I ever owned was the first one made in SS by Randall
They were only in business from 1983-1985 I bought a Randall Raider must have been 84 basically a Commander
Still one of my favs, I put in some custom parts years ago but kept all the stock innards
The Wilson Shok-Buff system was one of the best additions I made back then, really smoothed up the recoil and probably saved the gun from stress..
