I need to rephrase...HAS a 642 hammerless and loves it. Fat fingers on cell phone.
These are my babies. The Smith & Wesson model 19 with a 6 inch barrel was the first gun I ever purchased. I bought it way back in 1982 when I was 17 going on 18.
The two semi-autos are Colt 1908 Vest Pocket models, .25 cal.
One of the pair turned 100 this year. The other is a year or 2 newer. Dad gave each of us kids one and kept one for himself. I inherited his.
I used one of the Colts when I took my 1st CCW course (at that time I wasn’t interested in obtaining my license). I knew that Dad wouldn’t take the course on his own so I was there for him.
I was the cause of a few snickers from those with the Colt .45s , Sigs, and Glocks. When I fired the first 5 fast rounds the police officer who was overseeing the firing phase walked up behind me and asked: “Do you know how fast you fired those 5 rounds?” I told him “no” and he responded “2 1/2 seconds”. That’s spitting those rounds out!
The Glock 26 gen 3 is my CCW gun. I’ve added 2 round extensions to the 10 round magazines, a stainless guide rod and better spring. The magazine that’s in it is a 17 rounder with a grip extension. It had night sights when I traded for it 3 or 4 years ago.
Tomorrow is the birthday of Eugene Stoner.
Who will be the first to tell us about him???
The designer of the AR-15 type rifle.
Needed some space, had to take my singles to a dealer for selling.
But on the upside. Space for a .308, and a box fed semi or a pump.

While I have built several rifle that shoot in the teens, this is the first that shoots in the zeros. In all honesty, however, the below was a one time only group. But, it has shot several in the low teens. Although, I consider it a sub 1/4” gun, as it consistently prints high teens.

Here’s some steel while I was truing the BC to range. The pic states Hornady sp brass. It should read Starline sp brass.

Very interesting rifle and caliber. Been out of the shooting scene for many years so had to look up the 6.5 Creed round which was an interesting read. Not too surprised that a very accurate 6.5 long range round could be developed. Had 2 rifles in a 6.5 caliber round, 6.5 MS and 6.5X57, way back and both were mild shooting in the recoil department and could be made to be very accurate in the hunting sense. Having shot DCRA matches to 1000 yds with a 7.62 Nato target rifle I can see where the 6.5 Creed would have the edge in less recoil generated, better ballistics and accuracy. Enjoy your new rifle, it looks and sounds stunning in performance.
