Any opinions on a S&W 686+ for a carry pistol? I’m not a petite flower but am curious if anyone here carries a larger gun on a regular basis.

My oldest brother, sometimes carry's his Raging Bull ( 454 Cassull )
I figure if he misses, the percussion from the muzzle should take out the assailant.Mike

I personally carry a Sig Sauer 2022 in a shoulder holster with two spare mags everyday and backup is a glock 43 in an IWB holster at 3:00 with two spare mags. I don't ever go out of my house without being armed. All of my adult life I have carried a loaded weapons and have had extensive training and know when and how to use them.
I will say this. Most of my adult life was spent in the Marines in a lot of different places where your life depended on your training and discipline. Most civilians I have encountered have little to no training and a complete lack of disciple, but they still carry a weapon and frankly, they will probably become statistics! My biggest concern is will I become a statistic because of their poor training and lack of discipline?
Always know where you are and your surroundings. Continually scan the area and when it is time to take action, do not hesitate!
Just my thoughts about the responsibility you have when you carry.Semper Fi !

This morning I Zeroed in my new Hawke Vantage IR 4-12x50 Rimfire .22 (Subsonic) Reticle scope, the results were very pleasing, I was using .22 LR Subsonic ammo CCI 40gr, it also has an etched subsonic reticle with 25 yd increments out to 200 yds which is very helpful, I got lovely 1/2" groups at 50 yds.

Nice groups, Jamie!
I get bored at targets. I target shoot like I bowl. Either I am on or I am not.
I like to ring gongs and flip cans. I guess that is the trap/skeet shooter in me. I can always hit those!
A friend hoarded a pile of .22 last time it went short. Says he is ready to sell some. Think I will dust off my smallbores and have some fun while I can.
