As a Gooner, I can't let a mention of the Woolwich Arsenal pass without a (that's another one for you to look up Tom )

Also, whenever I think of barrels built in that way, I can't help but wonder how much trial and error went into fine-tuning their construction, and how many unwelcome explode-y surprises the had along the way.

Looks to have been something before it's time. Some noteworthy features for certain!
