Too FUN!!
So I am sitting in my Global Econ Class and the professor is making a point about industry positioning and mentions....Gillette.
He proceeds to explain that they gave away handles so folks would buy the blades and then he says how that model still works.
He points to me and says "For instance, what razor do you shave with?"
I say: "Well, this morning I used a Theirs-Issard 6/8 round point"
He says: "I am not familiar with the brand, but how much are the cartridges?"
You can imagine my gleeful response!!!!
"No cartridges, it's a straight razor. One blade, one edge, and nothing but lather between you and it. Man I hated buying those cartridges."
He was taken aback but smiled and said that he isn't surprised that someone figured out how to not buy the damn things.

Cartridges ? We don't need no stinkin' cartridges
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

That, my friend, was a golden opportunity to spread the word . You did well! I only wish you had had a camera to preserve the look on his face.

How great. Thanks for sharing. The satisfaction you must have felt knowing that you're free from buying that stuff. Kudos to your prof for thinking of a good quick response too.
