    Default OMG....found it....bacon chocolate!!!

I went to the local Cost Plus World Market as the family likes to sample candies from around the world when I found the holy grail of candies...it's 45% cacao mixed with diced up smoked BACON

How does it taste? SPECTACULAR. The bacon has a primary taste to the candy and the bacon's saltiness has a great finish to it.

As a chocolate addict, it sounds great to me. Funny how foods that sound mutually exclusive can actually result in a taste greater than their sums. Like a chocolate martini. One of my favorite treats (my own concoction) is chocolate cheddar fudge.

    That sounds GREAT!

I wish it was sold here too. Do they sell it online anywhere?

You can get it from the manufacturer, but they're going to get you for MSRP...I paid about $4.50 for a big bar. Don't think about the price...it's a premium candy and eating only a couple bites will completely satisfy unlike corporate candies that you have to eat the whole thing to be happy. One bar lasted for a couple days.

Chocolate covered bacon is being sold by several vendors at the Los Angeles County Fair. Five bucks for 4 small pieces.

    Didn't try any.

Thanks for making my mouth water Red! It sounds delicious. I had heard they brought chocolate covered bacon to the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) this year, but I didn't make out there this time to try.
Seems to be the latest health food craze,
