Thanked: 20I love watches and respect the craftmanship... been lusting for an Omega Speedmaster or a Patek Skeleton for ages but can't really get myself to justify the $. I guess not losing a second is not one of my priorities. I have a Citizen Eco Drive that proves great and a Wenger that's my work watch.

Thanked: 4Thanks!
The last one is Breitling's B-1 & is my travel watch. My only quartz Breitling. It will display either or both digital/anaolog time; day of week & date with anaolog time; display a second time zone; has an alarm for both the main time and 2nd time zone; timer; chronograph; displays UTC time, back-light and the circular slide-rule bezel can do simple calculations & act as a currency converter. The small watch on the bracelet is kept on home time and is known as a UTC module. The watch's movement is thermocompensated quartz and by my measure, accuracy has never been more than +-2 sec a year. The back of the watch acts like a sound chamber for the alarms & looks like the turbine from a B-1. One of the best "tool" watches ever made.

Like on The Flinstones! Very old school. I like it.
I'm not knocking all Breitlings, by the way. I actually like the looks of a couple of yours. I just find that a lot of their faces and bezels are a little "busy" for my tastes. They look very well made. I just prefer a watch that'll tell me the time without a bit of long division.

Did you pick them up new or used? If used, is there a dealer you recommend? BTW, the Cosmonaut and Navitimer are my favs.

I've got a Wenger also, but I've stopped wearing it ever since I bought my Speedmaster Professional just shy of two years ago. I say go for it. I was shopping around for a used one at the time, but I just couldn't pull the trigger due to all the stuff I had read about guys unwrapping their shipments only to discover that they had bought very expensive fakes. So I bought one new from an authorized dealer. It was a big chunk of cash, you're right, and I wasn't sure if I was going to regret it. The entire time I've owned it, though, I've loved having it on my wrist. Once you get yours, you're never going to "glance at the time" anymore; you'll examine the time.
"Hey buddy, you got the time?
"Sure, it's--" you'll begin. But then your surroundings will melt away, leaving only the watch face. And then a song will pop into your head. I believe in miracles...since you came along...you sexy thin--- *Turntable Scratch*
"--BUDDY? The time?
"Wha? Oh! So sorry. It's uh, three minutes and fourty-one seconds to eight."
"Er...thanks."
