Hi there, add one more lover of the simple things. Good to hear there are other hand rollers out there. I enjoy pipes and rollies. Why anyone smokes those tastless and dry tailor mades I don,t know. Favorite rolling tobacco,s are Old Holburn, Havelock, Log Cabin and Drum Bank.
Does anyone have a favorite rolling paper, mine,s "Tally Ho".

I like 'Papers' - the papers made by drum, and have always been happy with Venti. They both have a graininess to the paper which Tally Ho doesn't.

On the subject of tobacco, with all the rum fans around here I'm surprised no one has mentioned Port Royal:

PORT ROYAL ORIGINAL 50 GRAMS TOBACCO - Cheap Cigarettes - Tobacco.net.au

It is an Australian brand, which may be the reason, but certainly worth a try once.

I used to smoke Drum, love Old Holbert, but these days is Marlboro Reds for me.

And as for anything better, IMHO, - yes. Having honed the razor before your shave.
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

I used to smoke Port Royal and Van Nells when I was young.I will have to pick up a pouch of Port Royal for old times sake but think I will give the Van Nells a miss, if I remember I used to get a head rush from it,god only knows what it would do to me nowdays.

That was a good description of the drum and venti papers "graininess" I suppose I like Tally Ho because they are so light it,s like there is no paper.Being predomitally a pipe smoker is proberlly the reason I like it that way. This is the great thing about Rollies and Pipes you can mix and match, experiment, never a dull moment.A lot like wet shaving you can tailor it to your own personal preferance not just what the big companies tell you is good.
