    Default The Blues....

    I believe Blues is the music of the human condition.

    I'm hoping those that enjoy listening to it can post some of their most favorite.

    Sam Chatmon of the Mississippi Sheiks

    Lightnin Hopkins

    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Don't want to interrupt or anything, but this seems like a good opportunity for us to add to the lexicon: the straight razor blues.

    Anyone got some ideas for lyrics?

    How about this:

    Well I woke up this morning, and didn't want to get outta bed,
    cause I'm gonna have a shave and I'll soon be seenin' red;
    Oh, darlin', I've got the straight razor blues;
    Oh, darlin', them straight razor blues.

    Well I stropped that razor plenty and honed it all the night,
    but them whiskers they don't care, won't give up without a fight;
    Oh, darlin...
    I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

    I do love the blues!!! I am pretty certain that you weren't thinking Jeff Beck but his music is the first thing I thought of when reading the title:

    YouTube - Jeff Beck- I Ain't Superstitious

    I cant get youtube at work, but a couple of my favourites are Joe Bonnamassa, Walter Trout, Joe Gooch with Ten Years After and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

    And have you guys heard Yngwie Malmsteen play the blues? That guy shoulda been a blues player, coz he's really good..!

    Anyone who hones a lot of razors has had the blues.
