Thread: Cold Beer, Shower, and Shave

Hello All,

I am new to SRP...and on the slow process to going to DE and Straight. But my current going out for the night ritual may be in jeporday for a while while I am learning....

For all of you who have not done this...you should try.

Pour you favorite cold beer, turn on the shower nice and hot...make a steam room. Adjust the shower to your likeing...the hotter the better. Enjoy your shower while drink your beer....I know this sounds crazy...but yes drink it in the shower. I have a shelf just outside the shower to set it on so it does not get watered down.

Then to shave....continue to enjoy that beer while you prep your face up until the lathering......shave, drink, post shave care...and relax while your finish up the beer.


But for a BBS it might be worth it to alter my routine.

Hey, I got an idea that will eliminate the need to reach outside the shower or put that pesky brush or razor down for a belt of brew...now, I don't own one...but, I 've seen these hats where you can strap in a couple of beers and drink from tubes...of course, I would imagine that bending over might result in spillage, so, you wouldn't be able to drink while bending over to splash water on your face and you'd probably have to drop the tubes when shaving the upper lip and sides of the mouth.

All good things that make your life a little more better. For me it goes with little different order, added with another luxury:
Sauna, shower, shave, beer (beer, beer...)

@hardblues hmm drinking beer though a straw...not my cup of tea...and I grew out of that phase

@sailor if you have never tried the beer in shower or sauna you should try. And if you do let me know if I have another convert to beer and shower

I love a beer in the shower - Sam Addams Black Lagar is one of my favorite beers for the shower. Scotch is also very nice in the shower.

Funny thing, that sounds very much like my weekend ritual as well
Some times a beer, sometimes a nice single malt or a good Cognac.

Sounds good. If I didn't have an early work day tomorrow, I'd go for it right now.

Not too much beer before the shaving part, though ...

+1 for beer in the shower. I think every shower in college was had that way. I still go for it occasionally.

Still... I think in the time it takes me to shower, lather, shave, I could go for 3 or 4 beers. Might need to put a mini-fridge in the bathroom.

Never tried beer in shower, but for hundreds/thousands of times in sauna. There is not one without another in Finland. When enjoying cold beer in sauna, there is no reason to hesitate or the beer will turn from cold to warm.
