I have a Hobie Float Cat 75. It's about 12 years old and still in great shape. Mine is rigged up with a drift boat style anchor and a set of rod holders. Great way to fish. It will fit inside a big suv or pickup or on a roof rack.

    Default Outcast- Super Fat Cat

I have an Outcast Super Fat Cat that I bought about 4 years ago. I love it! You float higher on the water, so it moves thru the water faster than the average float tube, and you don't get as cold since there is less of your body in the water. I highly recommend it.

I also use Force Fins which I also highly recommend. I found that I moved faster with much less effort than with my old Caddis Fins.

I use a Caddis. Darn thing must be close to 20 years old and still works well.

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but what did you decide?
I personally hate my belly boat as I can't sight fish, but I too went with the outcast as I believe it to be one of the best. I have made a lake fishing platform that I really like better. I no longer fear losing one of my babies in the water either.

I too dislike the belly boat and much much prefer the small flat bottom pram or dinghy. I stay dry, get to the spots quickly, can chill out and eat lunch and observe, can bring my dog, can stand up in it to site fish and cast, and I have it set up with double anchors for chironomid fishing - it's really the ultimate fly fishers craft and I'll never go back to kicking around in a tube!
