A bit of wood working, aside shaving brushes and scales
The wife wanted a place to sew and my daughter is taking sewing in high school. So, I made a black walnut and curly maple cabinet.
The top is split and opens to double the work space (90 inches long open). The machine sits on a hydraulic lift so you open the cabinet, open the top, reach down through the hole in the middle, push down on the machine. The lift unlocks and raises the machine to the work table top. When you are finished, it closes all up like a cabinet. I even turned the knobs on the raised panel doors. I still have to put all the drawers in the left side pedestal but all the hard stuff is finally finished. I just wanted to show it off, I think it turned out nice. Looks better in the daylight, and when dusted. It has a lot of saw dust on it. Finished all the walnut with two coats of danish oil, the maple got two coats of satin urethane, then the entire thing got two more coats of satin urethane.

That is awesome. Would make a great honing and hand tools workstation/storage setup for razors too. Man, seeing things like this makes me wish I could produce similar items.
