I am a great fan of the Fedora myself, and I have several. Felt in the winter, straw in the summer. Although, I guess the straws are actually called Panama hats, still the same shape and style. I think it is nice that more and more men are starting to wear hats of some type again.

    Regards,

    Mark

I was eight years old at the time so I remember John F. Kennedy's inauguration on TV in 1961. A couple of the dignitaries in view behind him while he was being sworn in were wearing top hats. If memory serves me, Lyndon B. Johnson was one of them (though I don't really trust my memory on that one). I never saw a guy wearing a top hat after that. Just in very old movies where wealthy guys went to the opera, etc.
    Namaste,
    Morty -_-

I've heard it said that men's hats fell out of fashion shortly after that innauguration because Kennedy didn't wear a hat. It's a shame he didn't. I recently bought a Dobbs short brimmed fedora & a Bailey's short brimmed summer fedora. I do love a nice hat.

I read that somewhere too but I'm sure a lot of what happened during the 60's affected men's style.

Yup, I'd have to agree with that.
