Thanked: 23Straight Razor shaving as a personality trait
It seems there are 2 types of people out there: Hobby-prone, and not. It also seems like if you are a straight-shaver, you are the former.
It appears that if you like straight razors, you are susceptible to also loving the following:
cigars
espresso
whisky
firearms
sport vehicles (2 and 4 wheels both apply)
When I found this site, and then found this sub forum, I found it interesting the similarities between all of us. My friends that have zero interest in straights also aren't the type to really slave over personal hobbies, and the opposite is also true. What other hobbies do you guys have that are also strangely shared by members of this forum? In other words, what are my hobbies that I didn't even know I had yet?

Hi.
Partly right, I would say
cigars: Nah, too smelly, not healthy
espresso: Absolutely, no way I'm doin' anything before I get one of those in the morning
whisky: Sure, why not? Single malt for me.
firearms: Unless you are in the armed forces or law enforcement, no need.
sport vehicles (2 and 4 wheels both apply): Gimme gimme gimme
My main hobbies are: Dogs, Golf, Computers, Running, Cycling and martial arts(Tae Kwon Do)Last edited by Birnando; 05-21-2010 at 05:56 PM.

YES we have an emptiness we are trying to fill with external things: how else can it be explained?

I do think there is an element of doing things yourself, doing things right, and taking the time to enjoy them. The ways in which we do these things are very diverse, and it is clear to me we have a very diverse group of people here on the forum.
I do happen to enjoy a good cigar, a nice pipe, and good whiskey. though.

Yep, I like 'em all apart from the cigars. I've toyed with the idea, but I decided its too expensive and really bad for your health.
I also play guitar, enjoy the odd bit of fishing, I love to cook and I like cycling too.

Well...this is interesting, but for me, I am not into any of those things.
I don't like hard liqueur, but do very much enjoy wines and experimenting with different beers. I do like making things and consider myself a do-it-yourselfer, but no cigars, whiskey, espresso (I am more into teas), firearms (NO), sport vehicles (maybe, never owned one...I am a hybrid, green car)...Add Chocolate(Ya man...now, we're talking), but no str8 shaving and eating here
