    Default Life is good!!

    This morning I hauled the entire family out of bed and down to Shelter Island Pier for a little fishing. Me and my oldest, Joshua, caught four Mackerel a piece and the middle child, Matthew, caught a Jack Smelt.
    This evening we soaked the fillets in soy sauce for about a half hour, dredged them in corn starch and fried them in a half inch of oil. We served them in a bowl of steamed Japanese rice and a side of home made Japanese pickles and some green tea. MMMmmm!!! You couldn't ask for a better meal.
    I am now finishing out the day with a nice golden Belgian ale!!

    Sake would have been more appropriate to the meal but not to my taste buds.

    sounds like life is indeed good.we are now having our frist sunny day in 5 weeks in switzerland.ever notice that all the pictures of switzerland are either green or white? sun on a freashly shaved face is heven on earth

    Sounds great! And you cant beat Belgian beer IMO, its the best in the world...!
