Default Busy Day, A Short novel By gandrw

Wev'e been working around the yard and house all day today. Me and the wife started out working on the lawn she did some weeding and then watched the little one wile I mowed the lawn ( I hate mowing the lawn ). Then we put our daughter down for a nap and worked on fire wood for a while, I don't mind this much especially when I have help.
We have about 3 cords done and 3 more to cut split and stack.
Then we cleaned up all the leaves that where trapped all around the wood pile we cleared. ( I also hate raking leaves. )
Then we went to the hard ware store to get some supplies to install a fridge and dishwasher we picked up off Craigslist. ( also got a microwave and stove but those are projects for Another day ) The Dishwasher gave me all kinds of trouble and I was vary frustrated through the hole time I worked on it then I figured out that I will have to go back to get some more pluming parts to finish the project. It was about 10:50 PM when I figured this out and my wife had already put our daughter to bed and was getting ready to go to bed herself.
So i'm tip toeing past my daughters room to go back out to the garage in the hopes of miraculously stumbling across just what I need to make things work, When I hear this clickity clack noise coming from my daughters room.
What could that be? I listen a little longer and there it is again ( she is 18 months old and can't get out of her crib yet BTW )
Then I hear her talking to herself and the noise again and realize she is playing with Mega Bloks in the dark in her crib. My wife lets her pick 2 toys to take to bed I let her pick 2 stuffed animals when I put her to bed. But
I just smiled, That made my Day, And I love that little bugger, she dose the funniest things sometimes.

What a cute story! I know exactly what you mean. My daughter is 17 months and no matter how rough the day gets, she is always doing something to make it all seem better (even when I went in to get her up and she was standing there with her PJ's on the floor, diaper on the floor and #2 everywhere, I still had to laugh. I call her Poop-caso now as a joke). Thanks for sharing!

Very cute story. Kids are priceless. Oh, and a plumbing project is not a plumbing project unless you have to make at least two trips to the store to get the right parts. I think you got off easy with that one.

Actually I had to go back the next day to get some plumbing parts to fit the old water line to the new dishwasher. Then I had to relocate the light switch in the kitchen because the fridge is bigger than the old one and it covered up the switch.
