i love silent movies and i blame it all on Greta Garbo, ever since i saw anna christie (garbos first talkie) i had to see another garbo movie i checked imdb and i think flesh and the devil was the first one saw, i have loved them ever since. they just seem to be the movies that all the other movies copied off to make their millions. although none of my friend ever wanna watch them with me, they say if they wanted to read they would buy a book, oh if only they knew what they were missing. now i gotta find a place that plays them on the big screen and ill be set.

I've never seen one on the big screen in a theater. That would be really something. Nowadays some young people don't even want to see a movie if it is in black and white, forget about silent. Some young folks I used to work with were like that. I got them to watch The Maltese Falcon and Double Indemnity and they thought both were great .... which they are.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
