    Default EBay humidors

I am not big into cigars but have always liked humidors and always wanted one. I was wondering if the ones that are on ebay are worth buying? They are probably veneers over plywood or particle board? Does anyone have any experience with these?

The problem is that you have no idea what you are getting. There are perfectly functional inexpensive humidors out there. If you give me an idea of your budget and hoe many cigars you'd like to keep at any time, I'd be happy to recommend one (and a trusted vendor).

Ah, the coolidor. Functions better than many cheap wood humis, is bigger, seals nicely (sometimes too nicely...encouraging you to open it once in a while to grab a smoke!)
I've had two. The biggest was a massiev marine cooler...80 quarts I think? I retired them when I bought an aristocrat temp/humi controlled cabinet, and never looked back.

I don't really know what my budget is due to not knowing what a quality humidor costs. Maby no more than $50, but not really sure. I wold like one that holds maby 10 or 20.

I am not a big cigar smoker so can you also recommend some good cigars that are not too expensive? Are Cubans still illegal?

Oh, man....have you asked (ten) mouth(s) full. There are many, many, many fantastic cigars out there right now that arent' too pricey. The BEST ways to get an idea of what you like (and to try single cigars) is to 1) walk into a GOOD local shop, talk to the owner, and ask for a recommendation in the $5 range. He should ahve plenty (if he doesn't you might have gone into a really fancy shop). Maybe pick up three cigars, and smoke one every other day, remember what you liked and didn't liek abot each. 2) Go to one of the big cigar forums. I used to be very active on cigarpass, but ahven't been lately. There is (or was, anyway) something called the newbie sampler thread. You name a $ amount, and an expereinced guy puts together a packege of cigars for that amount of cash (you will ALWYAS come out ahead on these deals) according to what you like, and what they think you might like based onthose preferences.

And yes, Cubans are still illegal, as we have an active embargo against that nation.
