I have no doubt that one was good. And $$$.

Pretty darned good smoke.
Don't know if you guys have tried the Tatuaje Monster for this year yet. It's the Mummy and I had one today. This is a crazy good cigar. I might have to look around and see if any boxes are left. So far, ever since Tatuaje has introduced their first Monster around Halloween every year, all of the Monsters I have smoked have been winners!!
Have fun.
I've only tried the Wolfman and I was not too impressed. These smokes are hard to come by and rather expensive. Tatuaje has put out a new line of smokes that are apparently affordable and delicious (El Suelo and Trocadero). I'll be looking for these...
I passed on the mummy. Instead went with the cojonu 12 Sumatra and loved it.
Cojonu 2012 Sumatra is one of my favorites.
My local cigar guy said he had the mini monsters awhile back but none of the wolf man or mummy. 500 hundred boxes produced on the main monsters I think he said. And you gotta be like one of the top 20 or 25 dealers for Tatuaje which he is not. But the samples he tried of the wolfie or mummy he was given he said were very good.
Looked at my local shop and they have these in 3 different vitolas! The figurado was beautiful! I was almost interested in a purchase just to look at it. Didn't pull the trigger today because of the $$$-$$$$ price range. They also had a serie v Maduro which is priced $$-$$$. More likely to try that first. Thanks for the heads up on that. I may have missed it because the Olivias are on the other side of the walk-in humidor I usually go to.
Montecristo No. 1
Hoo-ah!

A beautiful sunny afternoon here so it was out to the back patio to enjoy a couple of peaceful hours with a well aged mellow Sancho Panza Coronas Gigantes.
I liked all the Baby Monsters. Fun little cigars. I also like the Tatuaje Unico. Very consistent and very good smoke. The Oliva V Melanio Torpedo is also a nice smoke. Today, I settled for a Monte #2 Habano.
Camacho SLR Maduro Rothschild, a little powerhouse.
Guantanamera Cristales Habana
Not too bad for the price

My buddy gave me an Ave Maria a while back and I finally smoked it. I usually bum around the mild-medium end of the spectrum, but I like a full-bodied every now and then. But this thing knocked my socks off; I stood up after I finished, then had to sit down for another 10 minutes. Very nice while I puffed on it though. It made my mouth remember it was alive!
Then your mouth is more man than mine. That thing knocked me on my ass... But I must say, that was a nice present to get.

Growing up in Southern Ontario Tobacco country, it reminds me of the grading room.
A little too mild for me
No real character just raw tobacco taste.

Wow what a great thread to come across.
The other night I had a Padron 45. That cigar was pretty good but a bit pricey. Luckily my dad got it for me lol. Some nice cigars to try would be the aka hybrid. It is a full flavor cigar great for late evening especially the CIA.
The aka solace is a mild cigar not much for me but wasn't bad.
Tonight was a tasty partagas 1876 and a brickhouse mighty mighty after dinner while I watched j Edgar. It was a good cigar and a good movie.
Glah, you made me gag there...
If I go the flavour route, I always get the infused cigars, not flavored ones. Flavored ones just have flavored sweetener rubbed on the nub. It just tastes like I'm smoking a cigar with a bit of candy in my mouth. And not the good candy either, I'm talking the 50-year-old crap they sell in grocery store gumball machines... Heh heh. The infused have the flavours actually permeated throughout the tobacco. The best I've come across, and one of my all-time favorite cigars, is the Drew Estate Java Latte. A toro with a cup of coffee, and I don't care what happened previously, it's a good day.

Broadleaf. Nice and earthy. Unsweetened espresso flavors.

Ahh...she took a pretty picture but was rolled too tight.
About halfway through I was just about sucking my brains out.:banghead:
Tasted like a spicy regular Serie V until shortly before the last third when by then it would have made better chewing tobacco.

Sunday afternoon smoke
CAO - La Traviata
And a Bulleit Manhattan :p

Both good smokes in their own ways.
The Traviata at 52 x 6" is a long smoke :)

Sumatra wrapper this time. It was a goodun! Yep..I think I like the flavor profile of this a bit better than the Broadleaf. I may have to try the Habano next. Not sure if the 3 different wrappers have different fillers too.

Yeah, we ran into that problem coming back from Afghanistan; we can't get Cubans, but the Germans and Aussies could, they liked partying, and were quite generous. But peel off the label and tell the customs guys that they're just some knock-off smoke, and we had no problems. Except for anything made of wood you bought at the bazaar. They went apeshit over anything wooden. Couldn't take anything that might ruin another country's ecosystem. We even had to clean the dust off our boots.
And..to finish the Cojonu circuit the Habano. Very nice and a bit milder than the Broadleaf and Sumatra. But they're all a little rich for my blood.

Aka- CIA or aka - lancero. Whichever you prefer great smoke for the evening and with a cup of coffee to make it taste even better.
