Wow, I always thought all Virginias where alike. And they all burn very hot hot and bite me real bad. I was wrong. I have been finding out the red VAs agree with me very much. This is my 3rd blend with this type of VA and I think I've seen the light.
I find virginias lose some bite with age. There is a local shop's blend (bulk version of McClelland Deep Hollow) with sweet stoved red VA that I love. But I have to age it a couple months or it can bite too.
Macbaren Virginia no.1 on the other hand is a struggle. I love the flavor, but it requires very careful sips. I'm not that patient.
That usually my problem. I probably smoke to fast. Thanks for the heads up. I was just thinking McClellands might have a good one. Deep hollow is going on the list
I have the same struggle with Virginia No. 1
