Love those Neerups have to get me one at some point they look real nice. I got a bunch of tobaccos coming today and one of them is McClelland 2000 to try out. I hope i like it as much as you. On a sad note, Mcllelland has broke some bad news regarding this years Red Virginia crop acquisition and they dont find it up to snuff so they are going to discontinue a lot of blends using that component. 5100 Red Cake would be one of them St James Woods would be another and a dozen other blends that will be affected. Disturbing to me because i have grown quite fond of St James Woods Va/Perique blend and am kinda looking to cellar the stuff to ride out the drought so to speak. The Red Virginia Drought of 2018 will I survive lol.
I guess on some things I am one dimensional but I just find the 2000 to be a pleasant puff for me and I hate having stray tins and such of things I have tried as they tend to sit around and dry up on me. The only time I found anything better was when my tobacconist blended some now extinct MacBaren's chocolate something with the 2000 and it was aweeeesomme ! I got a lot of compliments as well from passersby. Sorry to here about the drought, that does suck. McClelland's is a good company with lot's of good tobacco . I really should branch out some day. But being such a slow puffer these days I got what seems like a lifetime supply of 2000. That being said you got me thinking.......
So I just cracked and jarred a 3 yr. old tin of MacBaren Plumcake and put and apple slice each in my two other jars of Boswells Northwoods and McClelland's Anniversary and am going to make it a point to enjoy them.
Breakfast pipe of 3 yr. old MacBaren Plumcake in a small Peterson(my first Petey). Very nice.....perfect sized bowl for this stuff too. Well Good Morning then heh
