Thank you gents. Actually i have no any idea about the origins of this weird thing. Could be some old gigantic valve rocker arm or shoemakers last? Just a piece of old rusty metal found somewhere but excellent balcony pipe stand. Sort of a rust proof thing.
Funny, i've thought that not only S.Gawith but all pipe tobaccos are easily available there. SG is one of those few blends that our local tobacco shop still sells, but it's been very interesting to see and read about all these fine tobacco blends you gents have here on the POTD. All around the world.
Well, just like most SG tobaccos, CF is not aromatized too much. Maybe there is very little tin aroma of chocolate but i haven't been able to taste is while smoking. Room note is something that i better smoke it outdoors.
It is rather medium strength, simple VA/Burley and Latakia tobacco.
We used to have tobacco factory named Rettig in my home town but that was so many years ago. I think they closed down in seventies or so. I've been hunting for empty old tobacco tins of Rettig factory in flea markets with not much success. I remember my late father-in-law had those and he threw them away. Damn.
Edwards Honey-Bucc in a bent bulldog Kaywoodie Flame Grain. I'm not normally a huge fan of aromatics but this one is quite good and takes me back to my pipe smoking roots. There was a time when this was about all I smoked. I doubt this blend will ever have go-to status again but it is quite nice when a sweet tooth beckons or when I just feel like smoking an aromatic, so I tend to keep some on hand most of the time.
