Today (and yesterday) I decided to honour my father and my Uncle by smoking my fathers Dr Plumb pipe (circa 1960's). Had he lived he would have turned 66 last Monday. Perhaps a little morbid, but he has been on my mind again since I lost my Uncle last week. He was 66. He and my father, though unrelated by blood, were very close. I was reminded of this bond between these two men after I travelled north to my family, for my Uncles funeral. It was because of all this that I decided to honour their lives with this pipe. Today is also fathers day here.

At long last I finally found a drugstore that carries pipe cleaners. Imagine that, I remember when there were two full aisles of pipes, pipe tobacco, pipe accessories and cigars in any decent drugstore in this country (and they weren't even locked up in a plexiglass case like methadone or prescription drugs...ah those were the days.) Typically anyone browsing those aisles had a pipe or cigar hanging out of his mouth too. Anyway, my score came not a minute too soon as many of my old friends were getting fairly funky and in need of a good cleaning. I'm currently touring the streets of Codger Burley heaven with Old Joe Krantz and an 8733 (pre-1938) Kaywoodie Drinkless. Every day a holiday and every meal a feast!
eTom,
How do you like Presbyterian Blend? I've had my eyes on it for a few years now but have yet to get around to trying it.
The photo is a re-hash, for that I apologise, but today felt like a bit of a Peterson day, the weather was a bit, well I couldn't imagine the Irish having it, it seemed more english...Miserable and unexciting ;) weather with hardly enough decency (rain wise) to do any good, but wet enough to remain indoors. So here are my two Pete's that were the flavour of the day. If I had have taken new photo, it would have essentially been the same anyway...
