i will do so sometime this evening. i do hope it smokes well in the end, i really dont want to make them feel bad.
Smoke it slow and gentle. Break it right
that i definately will do. gonna probably run about 1/2 a irish flake in it to start
i can honestly say i didnt see a manufacturers stamp on it, that kinda scares me, but again, i will take my time with it, and hope it comes out well in the end.
I had a small no name pipe years ago, that turned into a favourite. Don't worry about brand so much, you'll either like the pipe once it's saddle broke, or you won't. Since it is a thoughtful gift, I daresay it'll hold a place in your heart regardless of how it smokes though.

I've had no name pipes smoke well and expensive name pipes like Peterson or Stanwells smoke like crap! In fact I had 2 Petersons go right up in flames on me. You couldn't give me one now unless you wanted to be hit with it! Lol
here are some pics of the pipe, gonna start the break in process tomorrow. sorry about the shoddy pics, had to use my phone, wife's camera not working properly.
any help with that stinger would be appreciated.weather to leave it in,or remove it
