Yes, once J B Weld fully cures, it's totally inert and I have used it with great results several time in the past.
IT's very stable at high heat tempitures, were a common epoxy might fail.
Thank you for your question, a good one too!!
tinkersd of SRP!!
The Falcons smoke very very nice, I liken them to a good Meerschaum pipe in the way you can smoke right down to the bottom with very cool and even burning of the Dottle.
You can buy Falcan Pipes on e-bay new for about any were from $38 to $58, very pretty little numbers I thinks.

gettin ready to try some 3P in my trusty legend cob. Looking forward to the taste, and i am actually getting better with my cowboy killer consumption here at work, when i have enough good tobaccy, i find myself only lighting up 1 or 2 of the darned things during the night, compared to the half pack or better in a 12 hr shift

Saturdays Pipe and Tobacco. It was a big day of work and play Saturday with the first part of the day making a stock whip and the second part of the day celebrating a friends birthday...Well into the wee hours of Sunday, so I suppose this is Sundays PotD too. :) I think the alcohol had more to do with my 'blindness' than the tobacco did though...
