How is the nutty cut? The fella at the pipe shop was pushing it hard and seemed to think it was great.

Smoking a bowl of Vermont Meat Candy from Pipesandcigars in a cob.
5 min in review. Really pleasant sweet burley. Smooth burley tobacco flavors. Not too much topping. I'm not an aro smoker because I can never pick up the casing flavors. This is no different, I get whiffs of maple, but none of the taste and none of the bacon they claim. Easy lighting.Quote:

I'm typically a latakia/oriental/balkan smoker, so this was not my style to start with. Someone that is an aro/burley fan may find it much more appealing than me.

Yes they are .....Currently smoking the Viking rustic bent with nickel ferrule. Orlik Golden sliced flake. Think I might switch over to Virginias. Less burn .Nice Flavor. Aromatics have been a little too sweet n burney as of late. Like the way the flake loads and burns down also.
Well, I went ahead and ordered one last night, a slightly bent Rodesian. I figured what the heck. Looked like a good price, and I don't have that style of pipe. Besides, I HAD to buy it. Doing so put the total with the rest of the order high enough to get free shipping! Hey, it makes sense to me, don't try to tell me different! lol.
It's a good humble smoke really. You'll like it.:)
