I'd like to see how you blokes handle their nasty side. That one raised as it was, was obviously happy enough for the video, but I reckon he might still have his nasty genes hidden away somewhere. ANd if you think rover can dig a hole, you won't like your garden and yard after this bloke has been through it! If you think gophers leave death traps around the joint, wait 'til you step into a wombat hole! :) Hopefully the wombat isn't around when you do. That's a whole other problem requiring the services of the emergancy ward and a bucket full of sutures.

You know, when i was a young 'un, i was mauled by a giant wombat. i was about 8 year old. Wombat was full grown. Grabbed my wrist pulled me through a wire fence up to my shoulder. Shook me like a great white shark. Still remember people saying "ooohh.. look. The wombat has the little boy". Bloody tourists. Watched while it ripped my arm off. it grew back later after a lot of nasty tetanus shots.
True story. Taught me to always have more than one knife in case your reach to one was compromised. He had my right arm. Also made sure {as soon as the arm grew back} to always be ambidextrous with all my weapons after that. My family still hassles me about killer wombats........ :tameshigiri:

Guess i've posted a pic of this knife before but here's my leuku. Along with some Irish oak from Oldenkott pipe.
It was given to me in the army. It was a standard knife bak then but pretty soon most folks discarded theirs and carried smaller traditional knives instead. Smaller is handy. Mine has taken some damage during years; back then i once forgot it at the top of the stove while sleeping in an army tent. Nowadays i use it mostly for chopping firewood or making fire ladders to fire blocks.
In the steath there is a sub-officer/NCO coat of arms.

Howdy folks,
So after poking around checking out all these wonderfully carved hunks of wood I figured I might give pipe smoking a try. Took a trip down to the local tobacco shop in Abilene TX and picked up a corn cob pipe and some golden Cavendish. Being that I have never smoked in my life it was quite the trial and error but what a hoot! I feel like I might start a new branch of an acquisition disorder :) Let the madness being.
