Thank you. My wife picked it up on ebay. She knows I love to fish for bass and trout. The seller is brodav2, and he has a number of antler tip tampers with scrimshaw. Here's a link to one of them

Pipe (razors) of the day; wedge (tortoiseshell) and medium hollow ground Wostenholms. I don't know if they'll shave work a darn but they're popping armhairs up and down. MacBaren Vanilla Flake while MicroMeshing and honing - about an hour total for both. Pardon this poor excuse to squeeze razors into a pipe thread, but, you know, I got a theme going here.

Just checked out that link. He does nice work indeed. I used to do stuff like that back in my reenacting days. I know where I can pick up bone and antler. Might give it a try myself.
