It works very well!
Open the glass...put some tobacco into the old tin...close the glass.
That leads me to a question.....Does anyone know how long tinned tobacco can be cellared for ? I just bought a tin for cellaring and it's dated Nov. 2012.
some years, if the tin is closed.
Hmmm ...do ya think 5 at least ? I want to start building up if I can .
I stored tobaccos 10 years ago. E.g. the "Daddy's".
Excellent quality over the years
A pleasure!
You should use a mason jar for storing!!!! Rubber between glass and cover. Put it to a dark place.
Can't give you any guarantee!
I figure in about ten years when they have tins so plastered with warnings and gory pictures ,I'll have my nice unharmed stash. Course by then they'll ship us smokers to penal colonies on Mars for being such rebellious upstarts and all. Smoke with pride !!!!!
I've also had very good luck with mason jars. They're not very expensive a dozen or so will set you back about $15 for the large ones. Some people do the whole boiling water prep but I've never found it necessary just fill, screw the lid on tight and throw them in the pantry. I've found that bulk tobacco stored in this fashion will keep for a long, long time.
