Things are not as they seem, Stevie. Contrary to the gunslinger mystique, use of deadly force is not authorized in defense of a mower - even a nice, new clean one. In fact, by way of escalation it's a crime in many places to even present a firearm during a larceny. We still have to reason with crims unless they are waving a machete or something worse. Now, if your mower thief was approaching in a threatening manor waving a raised, running mower, that's a whole nuther story. But sad to say, we can't much cap your average horsethief anymore.

It's getting hard to open fire on anything but a tin can anymore. I know, I know... it looks so different on television. :D

Hi MisterMoo, thanks for your comments, it seems the law is on the side of the Crim. However this was no low level lawn mower thief. this is a well planned crime he also raided 10 of my fellow homeowners along the lane where we live, so needed transport and I suspect a fellow Crim to assist because to get the mower out from my garden he had to go over 8ft gates. I think this can be classed as organised crime ( the mob)

Smoking a Cig is smoking...smoking a Pipe is relaxing ahhhh. Cigs tell you when to smoke...Pipes wait for your command.:)

Was looking at old tobacco ads today, and was thinking. How long could tobacco stay fresh in the old cloth pouches. Or did people just like dryer tobacco ?

Never smoked the Edgeworth Sliced. I have however smoked Edgeworth Ready Rubbed by the tub. Great stuff, an American icon. Since the demise of Edgeworth, Sir Walter Raleigh works hard to be similar but the quality of burley used in the old Edgeworth was far superior. These days I've become a creature of habit and 99.9% of the time I'll smoke Granger, Prince Albert or C&D Old Joe Krantz. If you've not tried OJK, do yourself a favor, it's absolutely glorious. Besides C&D is in North Carolina.

I envy you sir. Always wanted to try edgeworth. Have tried p&c match blend. But I'm sure it's nothing like the original
