Thanked: 227Clothings
Well, I quite like to dress smartly, and I'm a lover of a few of the classic accessories, tie pins, cufflinks, collar stays, armbands. However I also like to dress in dark shades, mostly greys and blacks.
However as of late I am finding it impossible to find a classic collared shirt, with removeable collar stays and doubled cuffs. This irritates me because I can't be the only person looking for a comfy classic shirt in black. Anybody else having an issue finding something they wanna wear?

I totally understand how you feel. I wear a suit and tie to work most days and if not, a shirt and tie at the minimum. I like my shirts simple and most importantly tapered. I have found it increasingly hard to buy a true tapered, no-iron shirt for under $100.
After years of having absolutely no luck finding quality shirts that fit and won't break the bank, I stumbled upon Lands End. I read some positive reviews of the shirts, and the price was absolutely right. I never shopped at Lands End before, so I was weary.
Fast forward a few months and now they are the only shirts I wear. They come in at under $40, they are truly tapered, the collars are strong and they are very well made.
I guess the point is, you may find what you are looking for, but just not in the places you would think.

I'm shocked to read this, TG. I thought there was a new wave of double cuffed shirts with holes for collar stays, and I haven't seen a shirt without the holes for years. Things must be tough where you live.
So what kind of collar stays do you have? I just use a simple and cheap pair of Baubridge and Kay but one day I'd love to get a pair of stirling silver ones.I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

Well right now I'm using a pair of cheap 2.5" Simon Carters, but hopefully I'll be able to source a reliable supply of shirts and them i'm gonna hunt some nicer ones, and in different lengths.
