Nice one Helge! :tu
I don't know how many times John Lee Hooker recorded that song but here's one version out of the many never ending boogies--

Found a fairly recent John Fogerty Concert. The guys 70+ and still rocking like he was a kid. You just can't keep a good rock and roller down! :tu

One of my favourite bands, seen them twice....
This song was released in 1999, check out the 1:04 second mark, guy holds up a sign saying, "Donald J. Trump for President - 2000"....
Crank it up....

My friend, while your and my musical tastes are shall we say 'different' I thought that I'd help you with the 'Trump' thing.

I like a YUGE variety of music, about the only music I prefer not to listen to is the more recent Pop Country...old traditional country, blues, classical, folk, metal, some rap and hip-hop, and of course a front line place for Classic Rock...can't wait to see ELO later this year.
Just cranked up Jay's Springsteen, one of my icons in music, saw him in Toronto, and one of the few artists I'd give a pristine Wade & Butcher to sit down and have a coffee with....
So I guess you're up for some Beastie Boy's now eh? :)
Since I don't' have any 'Beastie Boy's' I went looking and from what I found, I will say that they're not for me, but thank you for the suggestion.
With that said, I too have a large musical interest however the BB's just doesn't seem to be my taste.
I was raised on music that both of my parents loved but were from different styles. Dad was into what he called Traditional Country Music (Bluegrass) BUT his musical highlight was to see Hank Williams along with Roy Acuff perform in Spokane WA. Dad said it was supposed to be a 'dance' but he said it was like a sardine can in there!
Mom's love was Big Band Swing! Hell even in her 70's she could jitterbug!
My dad hated Rock and Roll he Hated Elvis Presley but one Sunday night just as I was starting to fall asleep dad came to me room and said "There's something on TV I think you need to watch. ------------------It was the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show!!!!!!!! Even that old redneck country boy 'Knew' that they were something special.
These days I have my computer turned onto Rock-a-Billy Radio and I am currently sponsoring a DJ in Australia who is part of it. See here:

Well it's time for supper so I'll leave you with this link:

I have the entire CD :y
To see Hank Williams would have been a dream...so much of modern music is owed to legends such as him and as you mentioned old blues players like Muddy Waters, BB King, John Lee Hooker...but Hank was King in my opinion...
Warzone - Lower East Side album
Waitangi Day here, a day of celebration. Also Bobs birthday, so here he is performing live in NZ.

A huge influence on so many people and bands of that era.
I've been listening to a very high quality performance from Tommy Emmanuel. Not only is the performance high quality but the audio and video are top notch!

Wow! Thanks for posting that Roy.
Tommy is IMHO one of the best, if not the best guitarist to ever walk on planet Earth.
That's just brilliant.
Pete <:-}
Thanks Pete, however the real thanks goes to Mr. Emmanuel as he's the one that posted his entire performance. I read that the DVD used to be only sold at Live Shows but I also saw that they were available first come first served.
I had a chance to see Tommy a few years ago but my friend who would have been driving suddenly had to cancel and my rig is too old for the 800 mile trip.
Maybe the next time he's in the area. The last I knew he was still playing 300 dates a year.
I've posted this before but I still like how the combinations of different styles, guitars and talents make for a wonderful performance of a great song.

While there's no three part family harmony, I do believe that the Andrew Sisters would enjoy this version of their very first hit record. If I'm not mistaken it's a version of a Yiddish tune.
The band is very good and the gals vocals are wonderful and on top of it all---she's Not Unpleasant To Look At. :w
