My friend 'Benz' turned me onto these lovely ladies. Not only are they very talented but they are not unpleasant to look at---

I just heard this old gem on the radio in my truck-pretty sure I pissed off half the neighborhood. Now I'm shredding a pair of computer speakers with it as I type this-Happy Labor Day!

Neil. 13 minutes of Neil. That's what I have on repeat. :)

I've been listening to a lot of Neil Young, of late... "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere", "After The Gold Rush", and "Harvest". I got turned-on to him while stationed at Ft. Richardson, AK (72-74) -- most of the guys were draftees, and after-hours barracks music was either Neil Young or The Eagles... always mellow stuff, and it still works for me, almost 50 years later. Thanks for posting!
PS: I can't believe he just married Daryl Hannah! Whatever happened to Joni Mitchell?

Wow - the Men at Work dude! They were my favourite band back in, oh, grade four. :) I had no idea he was still making music - thanks. :tu
"I drink good coffee every morning..." Now there's an opening line I can relate to.
A bit more upon maturity?

Toss this in...I was into the 'Urban cowboy' thing as it was fairly local.
Boz... An old guy now. I shall digress! :rofl2:

Literally, what I'm listening to right now. Sam Gopal's Escalator LP from 1969, with Lemmy on lead vocals and "lead rhythm" guitar (not bass). Oh yeah...

Wow, love those last 2-Steve and Neil were two of the greatest troubadours of the singer-songwriter era.
edit: Let me add this one from Neil's equally-talented bandmate Steven Stills (who was also a far superior guitar player):

I was surprised to find that I liked this rendition of Etta's song/which she'd written.
Thanks for posting this Tom. I really enjoyed the 'passion' that was put into the song.:bow:
With that said here's Etta singing a song she wrote/her song/very late in her career/I hope all will enjoy;

Now there's a concert I'd like to see..
Pete <:-}
Dusty Hill married a fellow I knew in HS's sister. I went over once and shot pool with them a bit in a room in his in-law's house.
Gold and platinum records along the walls. We were about 17, but they were very cool to be around.
A buddy at a nearby service station worked on their 63 Chevy lowrider. He enjoyed them as well.
Never heard anything bad about them. Good dudes. Rockers!
Little band from Texas!
Cool story, Tom-Here's a classic from that Texas Trio (before whatever they became in the 80's):

I just got home from a brutal week at work, and have a rare day off tomorrow. So I'm going back to my roots. Me (and my neighbors down the block too lol!) are listening to Mickey Thomas belt out some Elvin Bishop:

Aloha!
CJRT FM Toronto is doing a tribute to Frank Sinatra from a concert hall in Toronto tonight with live Jazz bands and singers. Excellent.
CJRT is one of my favorite Jazz stations, and believe me, I listen to a bunch from Maine to California to France to Rio to London. They do it right.
www.jazz.fm to stream or "Alexa, play CJRT" or "Hey Google, Play CJRT"
Every Week Night from 6 - 9 PM on CJRT's John Devinish hosts "Dinner Jazz" a great mellow Jazz show for relaxing and eating Dinner. I rarely miss it when I'm on the mainland. It airs too early for dinner when I'm in Hawaii.
Just had on the Allman Brothers Live At The Fillmore Theater, Duane's guitar was really impressive that evening.
Switched to WUCF Orlando for "Night Flight Jazz".
After about 15 years of extensive Jazz streaming, these are my favorite stations;
CJRT Toronto (Jazz.FM)
WUCF Orlando
WBGO New York (technically New Jersey)
KSDS San Diego
KCSM San Francisco
KNKX Seattle (Jazz24.org)
WDCB Chicago
This is pretty sweet! ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RTh5t8yEqI
