I respect bluegrass ....some great musicians. I guess being born & raised in New York City...my exposure to bluegrass was nil. The only thing that pops into my head when I hear bluegrass is:

Aw yes, the famous scene from 'Deliverance' great movie however it stereotyped a lot of people/which isn't anything new with movies. The list goes on and on :banghead:
As you said there are some great musicians playing Bluegrass music. Since you brought up Deliverance, here's a little 'Dueling Banjos' for all to enjoy! Steve Martin 'who played in the clip I posted' talks about an award that was given and then a performance with Steve and the recipient.

Took a break from lapping my new natural/more about that in the proper section later.
I'd seen this guy doing the 'horns' but this really blew me away! Scoff, or laugh if you may but he really puts some thought into how to make music and usually with (Non Musical) 'INSTRUMENTS'.
I hope all will enjoy!

My first reaction was "Grr... stupid 'kids' music..." but then I realized that as long as kids are into music, that's a good thing. But one of my proudest accomplishments as an uncle is that my nephews can both recognize Neil Young songs (often by the first chord), they both would rather listen to Johnny Cash than Bieber, are familiar with artists as diverse as Oliver Mtukudzi, Xavier Rudd, and Leadbelly, and that by the age of five, the youngest could sing along with this, which made for excellent confused looks on a visiting Swiss friend's face:
