I've been listen to a lot of French standards lately.

Say What!? A Hoosier that speaks French!? Color me gobsmacked. PS: Not a disparaging remark, I'm Hoosier by birth and most of my people for about 6 generations back were Hoosiers. Dad and all his folks were from the Terre Haute area, Mom's people from up north. I was born in South Bend. But anyway, I digress, here's my tunes du jour:

Lately I have been on a classic rock and electric blues kick. A lot of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johny Winter, and Zeplin have been in the cd player.
I tend to switch back and fourth between that and bluegrass/ old time folk music. It kind ebbs and flows. My kids never know whether its going to be banjos & mandolins or screaming guitars & drums.

This may be somewhat dated, but early Joe Walsh (and James Gang) could make some good noise:

Currently some Colin Hay....he's got some good stuff out.
currently pandora radio, my emerson lake and palmer station, i love old prog rock, have ever since i was a young lad living in tulsa while my parents went to bible college
now we have our flogging molly station going, to all you drunken irishmen, you have kindred spirits here in west virginia, musically that is.
This kind of music is surely not for everyone, but this is the most beautiful song i've heard for some time.

Did someone say Flogging Molly? I'll see that and add in The Pogues.
I've been listening to a lot of Sweaty Uncle Teddy. Maybe it's because it's hunting season, but it's most likely because he's a badass.Ted Nugent - Wang Dang Sweet Pootang - YouTube
Well it's been years since i fell off from the musical map or had any idea what is popular music these days and what is not. I do not much care either. Every now and then i still find some modern bands or artists that make decent music for my ears to listen. This is one of them. Also i find the video very amusing and funny. Full of silent humor and parody.
Besides: Marko Hietala, bass player of Nightwish, Tarot, Northern Kings and Sapattivuosi is a pipe smoker also. High five for that!

Heard this song on the way to work this morning and said to myself, "Gee, That's Little River Band, haven't heard this tune in ages." By the second verse my mind hand wandered away to the mid 80's I was stationed in the Philippines at the time. Australian tourists were fairly common and there was also a large Aussie X pat community in Angeles City. Walking down Fields avenue you'd hear these guys, Men at Work, and of course AC/DC coming out of about every other bar for about 6 blocks. Those were the days

Excellent razor score this afternoon
Tonight we're Cuban,
Cuban Fricasse Chicken in progress
Black Beans and Rice on the way
Plantains to follow
Cigar on the lanai afterwards
I know Red Stripe would have been a bit more theme appropriate but these Coors beers are going down pretty smooth.
This song has been playing in my head all day

Is it just me or could Art Garfunkel pass as the love child of Larry Fine?
I grew up eating that stuff.
Wish I had some now.
Tinnitus mostly. Took my hearing aids off a while ago.
You younger fellers take care of your ears or you'll be wearing the damn things like me.
Hearing doesn't "grow back" once you lose it. ;)

My favorite band
Fastest thing in the air when I was in the Navy was the F-4 Phantom and the F-8 Crusader. Those damned A-6 Intruders were louder than either of the other two when they were sitting on the cat at full military power waiting to go ZOOM. I was part of the Carrier Air Wing arming crew and worked on the bow cats during launches. Loud would be an understatement. the Gubmint (VA) pays for my hearing aids though. Only had to argue with 'em on and off for thirty years.
I'm gettin' a bit grey around the edges. ;)
Got Norah Jones going at the moment...probably be back to Sinatra a little later. Then again, if my day keeps getting more hectic, it'll probably be some Metallica or Iron Maiden.
Bubba
I have to admit that I'm a death/black metal fan.

Like most of the guys here I'm pretty secure in my manhood so, I'm just gonna come out and say it. If you can get through this video without at least swallowing really hard, you have no soul.
