Here's a little back ground on Junior Brown.

Here's he's playing with a little band from California, perhaps you've heard of them.

Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

I don't have any links, but I might try to upload a music file of me playing. After I inherited my grandfather's tenor banjos I have gotten into traditional Irish music - I play the banjo (obviously), mandolin, guitar, and am learning the fiddle (and when I say learn, I mean impersonating the sound of 3 cats being disemboweled). Heaps of fun, and I do listen to a lot of these old tunes.

PS - made this video last year for my stats students - the program in the background is running some code to map the spread of COVID which is the window on the bottom right. I had also gone clean shaven for COVID, I prefer me with facial hair to be honest.

All I can say Roy is ...WOW!!!

He's has a unique instrument and has total command of it.
What a fantastic voice and stage presence.

Truly a pleasure to listen to and watch...a great surprise indeed.

It amazes me how many “unknown” very talented musicians are out there and are now being made known through YouTube.

A great example of a social medium doing something it was designed for in a most positive way.

Their recognition depends only on how people react to their talent and not on record company marketing $$$.

Here's an example of a guy who was born in 1931 and didn't start a full time music career until 1976 after he retired from the military. He went on to be inducted into The Grand Old Opera.

    My dad was a fan.

Looks like you can't watch it here, you'll need to watch it at YouTube-Sorry
